The King of who I am
Author(s): Tanya Goodman & Michael Sykes Arrangement: Russel Mauldin
It is one of the moments in Jesus' suffering that most astonishes; His silence and conscious choice to be a Lamb to be sacrificed for us. His mockers used the title of king as a sneer; His followers now know that at this moment His dominion over life and death was most deeply expressed. This song, to the tune of Hassler's 'Passion Chorale' and Walker's 'Restoration', reveals a deeper truth about the Cross and is a musically sensitive choice for mixed choir.
