Pekka Simojoki grew up as a child of Finnish missionaries in Africa. The Continentals had previously sung his song: Hallelujah, Jesus Christ is born, on the Christmas CD 'Oh come all ye faithful'. Where the African influences were still present there, they quickly disappeared in the hard rock scene where Simojoki made his career. Even more surprising was his project 'Niet alleen', a meditative mass that was released in many languages in Europe.
