One of Charles Wesley's most famous hymns became a Christmas classic. The poetic text (hark! actually means listen!) is brought to attention in a special way in this performance. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing has a varied build-up to a festive final chord: Glory to the new born King!. The song starts small with piano and subdued choir; the dragging vocals at the end of the sentences then introduce a soul piece that in turn turns into a true gospel party. A party in which a full commitment of accompanying musicians and choir reinforce each other's enthusiasm in an infectious way!
