Some will be familiar with this song through the Nieuwe Liedboek. 'In de bloembol is de krokus' is a cheerful song that feels like the beginning of spring. It is therefore all the more appropriate that it is also called a 'hymn of promise' and uses the image of a flower bulb to point out the promise of a great future and the apparent contradictions in faith. This choir arrangement makes a clear transition to a beautiful, dignified ending when these contradictions are addressed.
