General: In 1968, Ralph Carmichael and Kurt Kaiser wrote the youth musical Tell It Like It Is, of which Nooit Alleen was a part. The lyrics of the song were a mirror of that special time; a generation of young people stood up with a fire in their hearts to pass on the gospel. The intimacy of the song is intentional. It is, as it were, a conversation between two friends, in which one wants to make it clear to the other that he wishes him the happiness of a life with God. And although that intimacy sounds throughout the song, there is that outburst: His Love knows no bounds! A testimonial song that, thanks to its simplicity, is applicable in many different places!
