Goodness of God
Author(s): Jenn Johnson, Ben Fielding, Ed Cash, Brian Johnson, Jason Ingram Arrangement: Jay Rouse
The origin of The Lord is our house lies in a new church building for a congregation. The metaphor in the song is broader, however. The image of God as a house to live in is not often heard in songs, but is here elaborated in a cheerful pop arrangement with many possibilities for guest vocals, such as children's choirs. It can rightly be called a song for and by an entire congregation and can thus be sung as a joint confession.
