Author's background story:

The song Vrede zij u was one of my first compositions that was born in my heart during a car trip to fellow believers in Karlsruhe (Germany). At that time we practiced and sang the song regularly in the Christian Evangelical faith community that I was part of.

To my surprise the song appeared in the Opwekkingsbundel (number 58), with author unknown. I contacted Continental Sound and they mentioned my name and they also take care of the copyright. However, my name is written as follows: Johan Hendriks. However, it said Johan Hendricks. This was changed later.

The Peace of Christ in our hearts through the atonement of His blood is an indispensable gift that is freely given to us as we follow His ways.
