Gerald Custer incorporated the 'Ubi Caritas' into his elegant composition, in which the piano part is somewhat reminiscent of a softly cascading 'waterfall' of sixteenth notes. The theme of unconditional love for those close to us is developed poetically and contains various possibilities for optional solos.
