But still He prayed from the depths of His despair; not My will, but Your will be done! We long for that strength, to be that rock. Like Peter; filled with zeal, steadfast. But even a Peter cannot resist to deny His Savior and sink in the sea. Thats why we can lean on a Messiah who is that rock. He has already done it for us. We can simply lean on Him. This song is quite appropriate for solo singers & choir taking turns. The fading, contemplative finish stands still at the cup of The Lords Supper.
